Behind The Brand
Romper was founded in 2021 by Andrea Romero, a designer raised inside her family's tannery and leather business — a world of hides, texture, and material knowledge that began before any formal training.
She studied fashion design at Polimoda in Florence and trained at Emilio Pucci, where the design process, from concept to construction, became her primary language. She returned to Mexico to build something with that formation and this material.
Every piece begins with research. Not trend reports, books, films, references drawn from art, architecture, and daily life. Construction and proportion are considered slowly. The result is a garment that evolves through thought, not season.
Leather is the medium. It ages. It holds memory. It becomes personal in a way few materials do. That is why it is at the center of everything Romper makes.
