Romper is a fashion label founded in 2021 by Mexican designer Andrea Romero, rooted in her family’s legacy of leather craftsmanship dating back to the 1940s. Raised within her family’s tannery and shoe business, Andrea developed an intimate relationship with leather from an early age; its scent, texture, and ability to mold to the body.

She refined her vision studying fashion design at Polimoda in Florence, where she absorbed Italian craftsmanship and the language of luxury. A formative internship at Emilio Pucci shaped her understanding of the design process, from concept to runway, and solidified her desire to build a fashion house born in Mexico with an international sensibility.

Each collection begins with a period of research and reflection. Andrea approaches design as a thoughtful process. Reading, watching films, listening to podcasts, studying materials, and collecting references across art, history, and everyday observation. Construction, proportion, and material choice are considered with intention, allowing each piece to evolve slowly through research rather than trend.

Romper explores leather as a medium of self-expression, creating pieces that honor the material’s natural beauty, movement, and tactile presence.
