Romper was founded in 2021 by Mexican designer Andrea Romero, following her family's legacy in leather tannery that dates back to the 1940s. Andrea's passion for leather and fashion was nurtured from a young age, growing up immersed in her family's tannery and shoe company. 

She then pursued an education in fashion design, graduating from Polimoda in Florence, Italy, where she deepened her creative vision and learned the Italian craftsmanship. To further develop her expertise, Andrea completed a pivotal internship at Emilio Pucci in Florence, Italy. Where she gained hands-on experience in every part of the design process to the runway. This is where she envisioned one day creating a fashion house borned in Mexico. 

Drawing inspiration from art, history, film, and nature, Andrea merges these influences with her love for leather's rich aroma, luxurious texture, and unique way it drapes on the human form, crafting garments that embody self-expression.
